The face holds together until it doesn't. Soft skin, dark hair, the kind of look that reads as ordinary, until the mouth splits and doesn't stop splitting, stretching past where a jaw should end into rows of teeth stacked deep, jagged and discolored, each one wet with a dark stain that bleeds out into the surrounding flesh like the damage started from the inside and worked its way out. The eyes give it away before the mouth does. One gone pale and white, blind or worse. The other bloodshot red, weeping a slow line down the cheek that never quite dries. Nothing about her is announced.
